 Steps to Configure Netgear WPN824N Under Mac OS.

  • Connect the ethernet (network) cable from the modem into the Internet port of your router ( usually marked yellow on routers). There are four LAN ports for connecting the computer and one Internet port for the modem only.

  • Open your web browser and navigate to http://www.routerlogin.net.or type  http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 into the web browser.
  • A login box will appear prompting you to type the username and password. The username and password will be “admin” and “password” respectively.

  • Under the wireless settings, click on “advanced” option.
  • On the left side of setup panel, click on setup access list.
  • You will be directed for two conditions;

If the device that you want to allow to connect wirelessly is listed, select it and click Add.

If the device that you want to allow to connect wirelessly is not listed, you can add it manually. 

  • Submit a name for the computer into the Device Name field and enter the computer’s MAC address into the MAC Address field.
  • Click on “add”
  • Repeat these steps until all approved wireless clients are not added to the list
  • When you have completed adding all wireless clients to the list, select “Turn Access Control On”.

  • Click on “apply”. You have now successfully configured your Netgear router WPN824N FOR MAC OS.
