Step 1: Open any installed Internet browser on your computer or wireless device. Ensure that your device and Nighthawk router should be sharing the same network.
Step 2: Enter the official URL address http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com to visit the router page. Then, a login screen is displayed.
Step 3: Fill in the user name and set a password for your Nighthawk router. By default, the user name is admin and the default password is password. Note that both the user name and password are case-sensitive data.

Step 2: Select the IP Address Range radio button if you want to allow nighthawk anywhere access to a range of IP addresses on the Internet. Also, enter the start and ending limit of the IP address to define the allowed range.
Step 3: Select the Everyone radio button if you want to give access from any IP address on the Internet.
Step 4: Enter the port number for accessing the web management console.
Do you know that a normal web browser makes use of standard HTTP service port 80? So, for enhanced security, you can set a custom port number for the remote web management interface. You can choose any number from 1024 to 65535, but never use the number of any common service port. By default, the port number is 8080, which is a common alternate for serving HTTP requests.
Step 5: Finally, click on the Apply button. Here, the changes will take into effect.
