Step 2: Open your web browser and type in your IP address in the URL address bar to go to the login page of your router. In case you do not know your IP address, open the command prompt on your computer, and type ipconfig. All the networking details including the IP address will get listed. Copy your IP address and paste it into the URL field.
Step 3: On the login page of your Netgear router, enter the username and password in their respective fields to login to your router settings. In case you do not know your IP address, contact your ISP or look under your router machine, as a majority of the manufacturers print the default login credentials at the bottom.
Step 4: On the main settings page of your Netgear router, click on security settings to navigate to the security settings page on your router.
