Mentioned below are the steps that you need to perform in order to reset a Netgear EX7000 Wi-Fi repeater using the factory reset button.
Step 1: Search for an object like a paper clip or a pen.
Step 2: At the base of your EX7000, search for a factory reset button.
Step 3: Use a pen or paper clip to press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds or till the extender LED light starts flashing amber.
Step 4: Leave the factory reset button and wait for your EX7000 to restart.
Step 5: Once your device reboots, it will return back to the factory default settings.

Step 1: Use a computer system that is connected to the Netgear EX7000 extender using a wired or wireless connection.
Step 2: Launch any of your internet browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Internet Explorer.
Step 3: Type mywifiext.net in the location bar of your web browser.
Step 4: Go to the login page and enter the email id and password for logging in.
Step 5: Now, the Netgear Genie page will open up before you. Select Settings and then go to other settings.
Step 6: Select reset and click on Yes to proceed.
Step 7: Wait for the web user interface to complete the reset process.
So, these were the two ways to reset your extender to factory default settings. One is by pressing the factory reset button and the other is by using the web user interface.
